Fishing Competition Boxes

Each year we support several fishing competitions by creating "Radio Sched" charts.

The chart allows vessels to report their position in a general sense, without giving away and exact location to the other competitors. It reminds us of the "Battle of the Atlantic" coded grid boxes the U-Boats used.

The chart also contains reefs, shoals and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park "Green Zones"; all designed to give the competitors a good spatial awareness.

This is printed in A3 and given to each boat, and also printed for use in HQ and at briefings.
